Kingdom of Tyrants
Barrel Lagered Dopplebock
Kingdom of Tyrants was brewed using malt exclusively from Sugar Creek Malting. With a base of Munich, Vienna and Pilsner malts, we also added a touch of Crystal Rye and a custom smoked malt incorporating Cherry and Pecan wood for a subtle smokey background. We then hopped this beer in the kettle using only Tettnang, and fermented it cold with one of our favorite lager yeast strains. After primary fermentation in stainless we transferred it to third use bourbon barrels that previously held Midnight Still to lager cold for 5 weeks.
